Adam & Nancy
Adam & Nancy
Adam and Nancy met online through J*Date in May 2004. After a few conversations they knew they wanted to meet in person. On Memorial Day, May 31, Nancy made her first of many drives to New Jersey. Adam showed Nancy around the area and ended up in Point Pleasant on a rainy, but very fun day. After many dates and drives across the border, on March 12, 2006, Adam and Nancy became engaged. Then, the planning began for the big day in March 2007. Currently, we have booked the temple, catering hall, band, photographer, videographer and florist...and the list goes on.
Temple - Temple Beth Ahm, Springfield, NJ
Temple Beth Ahm is a conservative temple in Springfield New Jersey. It is one of a few temples in the area that is also equipped to hold a wedding. The caterers, Exquisite Affairs Caterers, are part of a family which also works with B'nai Tikvah in South Brunswick, and the Marlboro Jewish Center. We chose Temple Beth Ahm after figuring out potential dates, the amount of guests we'd have, and tasting their very delicious food.

Band
Savoy Stompers: We met with (insert name, need to check) who is the owner and Master of Ceremonies of the Savoy Stompers, which is part of Elegant Ensembles. We went to a band rehearsel followed by a bried showcase in their studio in Northern Jersey. After hearing them play, we feel confident that they will "Get The Party Started" and moving on the dance floor.
Photography / Videographer
Between the Lens: After visiting numerous photographers, we went back to the one we saw first. We loved the creativity of their albums, and they came highly recommended by one of Nancy's friends who had used them for her wedding last year.
Flowers
Garden State Flower Market: After meeting with the owner, Ralph, we both knew that his professionalism, and extreme confidence (not conceit), was exactly what we were looking for. We even got a little 'behind the scenes' view of a Chupah.
Save The Date Magnets
These magnets were ordered from
MagnetStreet.com. They were twice the size of a business card and extremely colorful, including a picture. It was a perfect way to share our excitement.
Nancy's Dress
After shopping around at 7 different Bridal Shops, Nancy went back to a dress she had originally liked, at a previous shop. The dress was purchased at Jefre's Bridal, and although Nancy will not post a picture here, she describes it as “white” and “long”, which is enough information for now. The dress should make it's first visit to N.J. some time in December.
Bridesmaid's Dresses
5 different styles, all in Cobalt Blue. A style for every shape and personality. Bought at Belle Bridal in Middletown . Kim is amazing to work with, extremely accommodating, and one of the nicest vendors Nancy has worked with thus far. We have 6 women, and every one of the 5 styles was chosen by someone.
